7GW KAOKOLAND WIND ENERGY DEVELOPMENT – NAMIBIA

PGL has secured the development of a 7-Gigawatt wind energy project in the North-West region of the Republic of Namibia, one of the largest renewable wind initiatives proposed in Southern Africa.

The project includes:

  • Utility-scale wind turbine installations

  • Grid-scale energy storage infrastructure

  • High-voltage transmission systems

  • Regional electricity export capability

  • Long-term operational and maintenance programs

The Kaokoland wind corridor presents exceptional wind resources capable of supporting high-capacity generation. Once operational, the project will significantly strengthen Namibia’s national energy supply while enabling regional power distribution through the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) network.
